99Exch App: Using the Exchange on Your Phone
No download needed, how to get an app-style icon, and why we tell people not to install APK files
Do you need a 99exch app?
No. A 99exch panel is a website. It opens in Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone, and once you are logged in you get the same markets, bet slip and bet history you would see on a laptop. There is nothing in the app store to download, and you don't need to install anything to use your ID.
What people usually mean by "the app" is a one-tap icon on the home screen. You can make that yourself in about fifteen seconds, from the real panel link, without installing a file. The steps are below.
Add 99Exch to your home screen: Android (Chrome)

Open the real link in Chrome
Tap the panel link in your WhatsApp chat with us. If it opens inside WhatsApp, use the three dots and choose "Open in Chrome". Make sure the login page has loaded fully.
Open the Chrome menu
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner. Look for "Add to Home screen". On some versions it is called "Install app" or sits under "Add to…".
Name it and confirm
Keep the name short, such as "99exch", and tap Add. Chrome may ask you to confirm once more, or to drag the icon into place.

Open the link in Safari
Long-press the panel link in WhatsApp, copy it, and paste it into Safari's address bar. Links tapped inside WhatsApp open in its own viewer, which has no home-screen option.
Tap Share
Tap the Share icon, the square with an arrow pointing up. On most iPhones it is in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Add to Home Screen
Scroll the list of actions and tap "Add to Home Screen". Edit the name if you want, then tap Add in the top-right corner.
The icon is a shortcut to the exact address you were on when you added it. That is the point: as long as you made it from the link we sent, tapping it always takes you to the right panel. If we ever tell you the panel address has changed, delete the old icon and make a new one from the new link. The same goes if you made the icon from a search result before you had an ID. Delete it and start again from the link in your chat.
Why we tell people not to install "99exch APK" files
An APK is an Android installation file. When you install one from a chat or a download site instead of the Play Store, nobody has checked what is inside it. The file can look like an exchange, with a 99exch logo and a familiar login screen, and still do other things in the background.
From what players have shown us after installing APKs sent to them, the problems fall into a few groups:
- Password capture. The "app" is a login screen that sends your username and password to whoever built it. They then log in to your real ID.
- Wrong panel. The app opens a different panel from the one your ID is on. You deposit to the details it shows and the money never reaches your real account.
- Permission grabs. It asks for access to SMS, notifications, contacts or "display over other apps". An exchange has no reason to read your SMS. Apps that do can read bank OTPs.
- Remote control. Some ask you to turn on accessibility access, which lets the app tap and type on your phone for you.

Data and battery: what actually uses them
Browsing markets and placing bets uses very little data. The odds update in small pieces of text. What eats data and battery is video: live match streams and live casino tables. As a rough guide, an hour of mobile video at normal quality can use several hundred MB. An hour of just watching the odds move uses a small fraction of that.
- Turn the stream off when you don't need it. Most panels let you collapse the video. The scorecard is enough to follow a session line.
- Close other tabs. Two or three open panel tabs all refresh in the background, and each one may count as a session, which can log you out of the others.
- Watch out for Data Saver modes. They can stop odds from updating properly. If prices freeze, switch it off for the panel.
- Keep the screen on during an in-play bet. If the phone locks while you are placing a bet, the page may reload and you won't know whether the bet went through. Check your bet list before trying again.
- Low battery mode slows refresh. On both Android and iPhone it limits background activity. That is fine for browsing, but not ideal when you are trading a live session.
Phone problems and how to fix them

Making the 99exch panel easier to read on a phone
The panel's default text is small and its colours were chosen for a desktop. A few settings make it readable without breaking the layout.
- Browser zoom, not system text size. System text scaling wraps the odds columns and can hide the lay side. Browser zoom to 110% or 125% usually keeps the columns intact.
- Force dark mode off for the panel if your browser offers per-site control. Some panel versions render pink lay cells almost invisible under forced dark themes.
- Landscape for markets. Wider columns, fuller prices, the slip beside the market instead of over it.
- Reduce motion. The flashing on price changes is informative but tiring over three hours. If your phone has a reduce-motion setting, the browser may respect it.
- Screen readers. The panel is not built for them. If you rely on one, the desktop layout on a laptop is the more usable option, and the desk can read out current prices on a call for a specific market if you ask.
Clock and time zone
Match start times on the panel are shown in the time zone of your device. If your phone's clock is wrong or set to another zone, start times will be off. Settlement times on the statement follow the panel's own clock, which can differ by a few hours from IST; when reconciling, match amounts and markets rather than exact minutes.
99exch on a tablet or laptop alongside the phone
Many players watch on a bigger screen and bet on the phone. The panel supports that fine, with one rule and a few habits.
The rule: one session per ID. Logging in on the laptop signs out the phone and vice versa. Decide which device bets and keep the other for watching the broadcast or the scorecard, not for the panel.
- Laptop for research, phone for bets. The desktop layout shows more markets at once; use it before the match to read lines, then close it and bet from the phone.
- Tablet as the only device. Works well. Pin it the same way as a phone. Landscape shows the desktop-style layout on most tablets, which is the best of both.
- Smart TV browser. Do not. Scripts fail, and a TV remote is no way to confirm a bet.
A low-data plan for using 99exch on a phone
If you are on a small daily data cap and want to use the exchange during a match, this is how to make it last.
- Watch on TV, not on a stream. The stream is the data; the panel is light.
- Open the lobby only when you intend to bet. Prices refreshing for three hours in the background costs more than the bets.
- Skip the live casino on data. The dealer video is the heaviest thing on the panel by a wide margin.
- Turn off the browser's prefetch and image loading for the panel if your browser allows; the panel is mostly numbers.
- Avoid compression browsers. They save data on ordinary pages and break live prices.
- Check "my bets" and log out. A session left open keeps a trickle of data moving.
Battery to match
Lower brightness, close other apps, and do not run a second stream on the same phone. A long match on the lobby with the screen on is a real battery cost, and a dead phone with an unmatched lay open is the specific nightmare this page exists to prevent. The one thing the app question always comes back to
There is nothing to download, and that is the good news. The browser version follows extension changes when you re-pin, asks for no permissions, and cannot be faked by a file. Every "99exch app" problem a desk sees is either a browser setting, which this page covers, or an APK that should never have been installed, which the download page covers.
Which browser runs 99exch best on a phone
The panel is a web application, so the browser is the app. They are not equal. This is what a desk observes across a lot of players' phones.

If you are on one of the last two rows and the lobby misbehaves, switch before you troubleshoot anything else.
How the 99exch session behaves on a phone
Phones put browsers to sleep, switch networks and clear memory. Each of those touches your 99exch session, and each is normal.
- Screen off for a while. Most browsers freeze the tab. On return the lobby refreshes; prices catch up in a second or two. Open bets are unaffected because they live on the exchange, not on your phone.
- Wi-Fi to data switch. The connection drops and reconnects. If the new network blocks the extension you are on, the lobby stops updating or fails to reload. That is a block, not a session problem; the 99exch green page covers it.
- Phone restarted or browser killed. The session cookie usually survives. If not, log in again.
- Pinned icon versus browser tab. They share one session. Logging in on one logs in on the other.
- Incognito or private window. Session ends when the window closes. Good for a shared phone, annoying otherwise.
Notifications do not exist
The panel never pushes notifications: no settled-bet alerts, no price alerts, no "your withdrawal is ready". Anything on your phone claiming to be a 99exch notification came from an app that is not the panel. The download page explains what such apps are usually for.
Screen habits that save money on the 99exch mobile lobby
- Set the stake buttons. The bet slip's quick-stake buttons default to amounts you may never use. Set them to your real stakes so a mis-tap costs ₹100, not ₹1,000.
- Landscape for sessions. Session lines and the slip fit on one screen in landscape. In portrait you scroll, and scrolling during a live over leads to tapping the wrong line.
- Brightness down, text size normal. Enlarged system text wraps the market layout and hides the lay column on some phones.
- Confirm step on. Some panel versions let you switch off bet confirmation. Do not.
- Check "my bets" before the screen locks. Unmatched bets you walk away from are the mobile-specific way to lose money.
- One tab. Two lobby tabs on one phone can show stale prices in the one you are not looking at.

iPhone specifics for 99exch
iPhone users have an easier time in one way and a harder time in another. Easier: there is no APK question at all, because iPhones do not install them. Harder: Safari's protections and iCloud autofill are more aggressive than Android's defaults.
- Pinning works only from Safari: Share, Add to Home Screen. Chrome on iPhone cannot do it.
- Autofill may offer a password saved under a lookalike domain if you ever visited a clone. Tap the key, check the domain, type if unsure.
- Content blockers installed for ad blocking can stop the login redirect. Disable for the panel under Settings, Safari, Extensions.
- Hide IP / Private Relay may route you through a different region and occasionally trip the panel's checks. If logins fail only on iPhone, switch it off for a test.
- Full-screen pinned mode hides the address bar. Open the panel in Safari itself once a month and verify the address against your desk chat.
Android specifics
Android's one hazard is the "install unknown apps" permission. If you have ever enabled it for a browser or a messenger to install something, go to Settings, Apps, Special access, and turn it back off. A phone that cannot sideload cannot be fooled by a fake 99exch APK. The browser version is unaffected.
